ALP staining and activity by ADV treatment. (A, B) In the evaluation of osteogenic differentiation of MSCs cells, ALP staining and activity were significantly reduced by ADV, which was confirmed to have an effect on the inhibitory effect on osteogenic differentiation. (C, D) On the other hand, in the evaluation of osteogenic differentiation of MG63 cells, ALP staining and activity tended to decrease due to ADV, but there was no statistically significant difference. Bar=500 μm. Values are expressed as mean±SD. *P<0.05 compared with the control group (0 μg/mL of ADV).
Abbreviations: ALP, alkaline phosphatase; ADV, adefovir dipivoxil; MSCs, mesenchymal stem cells; OM, osteogenic induction media; ns, not significant difference.
